Update to Shooting

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have obtained an image of a suspect who was involved in the shooting death of Angela Taylor. The image has been obtained from a Fayetteville Police Department surveillance camera.

 Motorcycle

Detectives with the FPD’s Homicide Unit are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the motorcyclist that was observed fleeing the area of Andy Street onto Bragg Boulevard moments after the shooting.  The motorcyclist was riding a cruiser style motorcycle and was wearing a bright colored shirt.

 

This remains an active on-going investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available.

Update to Shooting

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have received information that the shooting victim has died as a result of her injuries and are actively investigating this incident as a homicide.

 

The victim has been identified as Angela Taylor, B/F, 32 years of age.

 

Detectives with the FPD’s Homicide Unit continue to seek the public’s assistance with identifying a motorcyclist that was observed fleeing the area of Andy Street onto Bragg Boulevard moments after the shooting.  The motorcyclist was riding a cruiser style motorcycle and was wearing a bright colored shirt.

Shooting

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at approximately 6:30 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the area of Andy Street and Ike Street in reference to a report of a shooting.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed that a black female was shot while walking along Andy Street near the Ike Street intersection.  The female has been transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.  Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a motorcyclist that was observed fleeing the area of Andy Street onto Bragg Boulevard moments after the shooting.  The motorcyclist was riding a cruiser style motorcycle and was wearing a bright colored shirt.

 

The name of the victim is currently being withheld until detectives can identify the female and contact her immediate family.
