Update to Sexual Assault

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the FPD’s Special Victims Unit have obtained a composite sketch of the suspect who committed a sexual assault along Sapona Road on July 22, 2016.  The suspect was described as a Black Male in his 50’s, 6’3 in height, weighing approximately 250 pounds and appeared to have distorted teeth.  The victim described the suspect as having a light skin complexion with short black and gray faded hair and appeared to be unshaven.  The suspect was wearing a red shirt with white writing, blue jeans and a tan flat billed hat.

Sexual Assault

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the FPD’s Special Victims Unit are investigating a sexual assault that was reported on July 22, 2016 at approximately 8:50 pm, in the area of Sapona Road.

 

The investigation revealed that the victim was in the area of B. Street near Grove Street, when she accepted a ride from the suspect.  The suspect drove to an area along Sapona Road, where he physically assaulted the victim and committed a forcible sexual offense. 

 

The suspect was described as a Black Male in his 50’s, 6’3 in height, weighing approximately 250 pounds and appeared to have distorted teeth.  The victim described the suspect as having a light skin complexion with short black and gray faded hair and appeared to be unshaven.  The suspect was wearing a red shirt with white writing, blue jeans and a tan flat billed hat.

 

The suspect was operating an black 4-door Ford F-150 truck.  A possible surveillance image of the suspect vehicle has been attached to the release.
