Seeking Information in the December Homicide of Charles Greene Jr.

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the FPD’s Homicide Unit have determined that Charles Greene Jr (25 years of age) was shot and killed while inside of his residence along the 300 block of Plantation Drive on December 12, 2017.

 

During the late evening hours of Tuesday, December 12, 2017, Charles Greene Jr. was inside of his residence, when an unknown suspect(s) fired gunshots into the home.  Greene was struck by the gunshots and was left in the home where he died as a result of his injuries. 

 

Charles Greene Jr. was partially disabled due to childhood medical issues, which had left him partially visually and hearing impaired. Detectives are urgently seeking the public’s assistance with information as it relates to the shooting death of Charles Greene to include information of hearing gunshots during the late evening hours of Tuesday, December 12th along Plantation Drive or information as it relates to who may have been in contact with Charles Greene at his home.

Death Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 8:49 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a residence along the 300 block of Plantation Road in reference to an unresponsive male inside of the residence.

 

The male subject was pronounced deceased on scene and will be sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine a cause of death.   

 

Detectives with the FPD’s Homicide Unit are actively investigating the death and additional information will be released as it becomes available. The name of the victim is currently being withheld until his immediate family has been notified.
