Detectives Request Public’s Assistance Identifying Person of Interest in Assault Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit are requesting the public’s assistance identifying a person of interest in a felonious assault that occurred on Thursday, December 28, 2017 along the 3100 block of Murchison Road.

 

Jeffery Lacy (B/M, 42 years of age), no address available, was assaulted in the area of YaYa’s Food Mart and was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment. Detectives have received information that Lacy has been transferred to UNC Chapel Hill and is currently listed in critical condition.

 

Detectives with the FPD’s Aggravated Assault Unit are actively investigating the felonious assault and have obtained an image of a person of interest in this case.

FPD Detectives are requesting anyone with information concerning the identity of the person of interest contact them, and are also encouraging the person depicted in this image to come forward.
