Update to Homicide Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified the victim of the homicide that occurred along the 5600 block of McDougal Drive on Saturday, October 6, 2018.

The victim has been identified as Rayqwan J. Williams (B/M, 19 years of age), of the 600 block of Platinum Drive.

Several people were at the residence at the time of the shooting that left prior to the arrival of law enforcement. Detectives are requesting anyone who was present contact detectives or Crimestoppers. Anyone wishing to submit anonymous information, to include photos and videos, may anonymously upload those items by visiting P3Tips.com.

Homicide Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Saturday, October 6, 2018, at approximately 3:45 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to 5600 block of McDougal Drive reference a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived in the area and located a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. Officers summoned medical personnel to the scene and the victim was pronounced deceased on scene. The name of the victim is currently being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Fayetteville / Cumberland County Crimestoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information submitted to Crimestoppers that leads to an arrest.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are actively investigating the homicide and request anyone with information contact them.
