Two Arrested for Shaw Road Extension Shooting

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have charged and arrested two suspects in connection with the shooting of Kendrick McArthur (B/M, 42 years of age), that occurred along the 2200 block of Shaw Road Extension on Sunday, October 28, 2018.

Victor Cameron (B/M, 56 years of age), of the 2200 block of Shaw Road Extension, has been arrested and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Cameron is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $275,000 secured bond.

 

James T. Nixon

 

James Nixon (B/M, 54 years of age), of the 2200 block of Shaw Road Extension, has been arrested and charged with Accessory After the Fact of the Assault against Kendrick McArthur and Resisting, Delaying, and Obstructing Law Enforcement. Nixon is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $250,000 secured bond.

Detectives continue to seek the public’s assistance locating McArthur, as well as locating his 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer with North Carolina Registration plate EJX-9918, and encourage anyone with information to contact them. McArthur is believed to need immediate medical attention for injuries sustained during the shooting. A photo of McArthur as well as a photo of a Chevrolet Trailblazer similar to McArthur’s has been attached to this media release for dissemination.

Detectives Request Assistance Locating Endangered Missing Person

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department are actively investigating a shooting that occurred along the 2200 block of Shaw Road Extension on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at approximately 10:00 pm, and have information that a shooting victim is endangered.

Detectives have recently obtained evidence that Kendrick McArthur (B/M, 42 years of age), of the 500 block of Nottingham Drive, was seriously injured as a result of the shooting and needs urgent medical attention. Detectives have been notified by the family and by coworkers of McArthur that they have not had contact with McArthur since the time frame of the shooting, and it is highly unusual for him to not make contact with them. McArthur drives a light colored 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer with North Carolina Registration plate EJX-9918, which is also missing.
