Detectives Request Assistance Identifying Robbery Suspect

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Monday, December 10, 2018 at approximately 9:05 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to Family Dollar, located along the 5700 block of Yadkin Road, reference a robbery at the business.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed a suspect entered the business, pointed a handgun at the clerk, and demanded money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the business on foot.

 

The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5’07”, 250 pounds, with a deep voice. At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a black mask with “home-cut” eye holes, a navy colored hoodie, dark pants, black shoes, and he was armed with a black and silver handgun.

This same suspect is believed to be responsible for a robbery that took place on December 1, 2018 at approximately 3:02 pm at Dollar General located along the 200 block of Bonanza Drive.

 

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Robbery Unit have obtained surveillance video from the business and are requesting anyone with information contact detectives or Fayetteville / Cumberland County Crimestoppers.

 

The surveillance video from Family Dollar has been attached to this media release for dissemination.
