Suspects Arrested for Trafficking Heroin

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Cross Creek District have charged and arrested two (2) suspects for trafficking heroin as the result of a search warrant, which was executed after officers responded to a vehicle crash along the 8100 block of Raeford Road on February 6, 2019.

 

During the crash investigation officers located what appeared to be controlled substances as well as a handgun inside of a vehicle. Officers then obtained a search warrant and upon execution of the search warrant located over 95 grams of heroin and a revolver.

 

Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Cross Creek District have charged two (2) suspects in this case.

 

Danny Braddy Jr

 

Danny Braddy Jr. (B/M, 32 years of age), of Laurinburg, North Carolina, has been arrested and charged with Trafficking Heroin by Possession, Trafficking Heroin by Manufacturing, Trafficking Heroin by Transporting, Felony Maintaining a Vehicle for Use of Controlled Substances, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Braddy is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $200,000 secured bond.

 

Willie Smith

 

Willie E. Smith (B/M, 39 years of age), of Laurinburg, North Carolina, has been arrested and charged with Trafficking Heroin by Possession, Trafficking Heroin by Manufacturing, Trafficking Heroin by Transporting, and Felony Maintaining a Vehicle for Use of Controlled Substances. Smith is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $150,000 secured bond.
