Second Suspect Arrested during Human Trafficking Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department and the United States Marshals Service arrested a second suspect in connection with an on-going human trafficking investigation at a local motel.

 

Gray

 

As a result of the investigation, Merianda K. Gray (B/F, 25 years of age), of the 600 block of Walker Street, has been arrested and charged with 1st Degree Forcible Sex Offense (2 counts), 1st Degree Kidnapping (2 counts), 2nd Degree Kidnapping, and Aid and Abet Armed Robbery (2 Counts). Gray is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a one million dollar secured bond.

 

The Fayetteville Police Department’s Human Trafficking Unit works tirelessly to identify victims of Human Trafficking and to bring awareness about the dangers of this illicit trade. Human Trafficking Investigation Results in Arrest

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Monday, February 11, 2019, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department and the US Marshals Task Force arrested a suspect in connection with an ongoing human trafficking investigation at a local motel.

 

As a result of the investigation, James Calvin McEachern Jr (B/M, 32 years of age), of the 1500 block of S Eastern Blvd, has been arrested and charged with 1st Degree Forcible Sex Offense (2 counts), 1st Degree Kidnapping, 2nd Degree Kidnapping, Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon (2 counts),  and Aid and Abet Armed Robbery (2 Counts). McEachern is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $312, 000.00 secure bond.
