Detectives Request Witnesses of Homicide Come Forward

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit continue to investigate the homicide of Delaun Parker, which occurred along the 400 block of Upton Street on Sunday, April 14, 2019, and are requesting those who witnessed the homicide make contact with Detectives.

As the investigation continues to progress, Detectives have obtained information that several witnesses observed the incident and they have yet to come forward to make contact with Detectives. Detectives are requesting and encouraging those who witnessed the homicide of Delaun Parker make contact with them.

 

The family of Delaun Parker is willing to speak with members of the media. Any media outlets wishing to speak with the family may contact Sgt. Strepay with the Fayetteville Police Department to make such arrangements.

 

The Fayetteville / Cumberland County Crimestoppers Program is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for anonymous information submitted directly to Crimestoppers that leads to an arrest.

Update to Shooting Investigation

(Fayetteville, NC) – The victim in the shooting that occurred on the 400 block of Upton Street has been confirmed as deceased. He has been positively identified as B/M Delaun Parker, 31 years old with an address of 400 block of Dick Street Fayetteville, NC.

Shooting Investigation

(Fayetteville, NC) – This morning on, April 14, 2019 at approximately 3:12 am officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the area of Upton Street near Stevens Street in reference to a shots fired call. Officers arrived on scene and canvassed the area. The officers located a male subject in the roadway on Upton Street suffering from a gunshot wound. The subject was transported by ambulance to the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center by ambulance.

 

Currently, FPD officers along with detectives are on scene investigating this shooting.

 

This remains an ongoing investigation. There is no additional information to release.
