Update to Robbery/Homicide Investigation 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified the victim of the homicide that occurred on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 along the 1500 block of Clinton Road, and they are requesting the public’s assistance identifying two (2) suspects.

The victim has been identified as Rayd Ali Al Qadhi (W/M, 33 years of age). The victim was a cashier of the business and the preliminary investigation has revealed this homicide began as a robbery.

 

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have obtained still images from surveillance footage and are requesting the public’s assistance identifying two (2) suspects depicted in the images. Detectives have obtained information indicating the suspects may have been operating a silver sedan at the time of the homicide.

Robbery/Homicide Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at approximately 11:30 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the 1500 block of Clinton Road – Express Mart gas station. This was in reference to the report of a male subject inside the business suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers arrived on scene and located the subject inside the business. The subject was confirmed as deceased on scene. The name of the victim is currently being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit arrived on scene and have assumed the investigation.

This incident is considered a robbery/homicide as the victim has been identified as the cashier at the business.
