Missing Person / Silver Alert


(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance locating James E. Day, who was reported missing Thursday, June 27, 2019. Day was last seen around 8:20 pm on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 along the 1200 block of Stansfield Drive. Day is believed to have a cognitive impairment that may require medication and a silver alert has been issued.



DayJames Day is described as a:

  • Black Male
  • 83 years of age
  • 5’07 in height
  • 150 pounds
  • Gray / Black Hair
  • Brown Eyes
  • Last Seen Wearing:
    • Tan Button-Up Shirt
    • Khaki Slacks



Day Vehicle


Day was last known to be operating a 1989 “Blue over Wood” Buick Station Wagon with North Carolina Registration ‘GOODDAY.’
