Suspects Arrested for Multiple Robberies

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Robbery Unit have charged and arrested three (3) suspects in connection with four (4) robberies that occurred within the city limits of Fayetteville since June 25, 2019.

 

Tiqual Washington

 

Tiqual T. Washington (B/M, 16 years of age), of the 2800 block of Empire Court, has been arrested and charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon (4 counts), Possession of Stolen Goods (4 counts), and Conspiracy (4 counts). Washington is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $250,000 secured bond.

 

Dave Green

 

Dave L. Green (B/M, 22 years of age), of the 700 block of Chadwick Road has been arrested and charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon (3 counts), Possession of Stolen Goods (3 counts), and Conspiracy (3 counts). Green is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $300,000 secured bond.

 

Markal Bates

 

Markal D. Bates (B/M, 25 years of age), of the 1900 block of Wendover Drive has been arrested and charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon (3 counts), Possession of Stolen Goods (3 counts), and Conspiracy (3 counts). Bates is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $150,000 secured bond.

 

These arrests stem from the robbery of the Day N Nite Food Mart located along the 800 block of Murchison Road that occurred on June 25, 2019, the robbery of the Speedway located along the 2800 block of Owen Drive on June 27, 2019, the robbery of the Circle K located along the 2300 block of Owen Drive on June 29, 2019, and the robbery of the Circle K located along the 1900 block of Owen Drive on June 29, 2019.

 

There is no additional information to release.

 

Multiple Robbery Investigations

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Robbery Unit are requesting the public’s assistance identifying the suspects involved in four (4) robberies that have occurred within the city limits of Fayetteville since June 25, 2019.

 

On June 25, 2019 at 11:50 pm officers responded to the Day N Nite Food Mart located along the 800 block of Murchison Road reference a robbery. Two (2) suspects entered the business, displayed handguns, and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied with the demands and the suspects then fled the business with an undisclosed amount of money.

 

On June 27, 2019 at 11:42 pm officers responded to the Speedway located along the 2800 block of Owen Drive reference a robbery. One (1) suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the business.

 

On June 29, 2019 at 2:43 am officers responded to the Circle K located along the 2300 block of Owen Drive reference a robbery. One (1) suspect entered the business, selected merchandise from the sales floor, and presented it to the clerk as if he was going to make a purchase. The suspect then displays a handgun and demands money from the clerk. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the business in what appears to be a red Toyota Corolla.

 

On June 29, 2019 at 3:01 am officers responded to the Circle K located along the 1900 block of Owen Drive reference a robbery. One (1) suspect entered the business, selected merchandise from the sales floor, and presented it to the clerk as if he was going to make a purchase. The suspect then implies he has handgun and demands money from the clerk. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the business in what appears to be a red Toyota Corolla.

 

Detectives have obtained still images from the surveillance systems and are requesting the public’s assistance identifying the suspects. During the investigations, detectives have developed preliminary information indicating these four (4) robberies have been committed by three (3) suspects who are working together.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Robbery Unit are actively investigating the robberies and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
