Update to Homicide Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified the victim of the homicide that occurred along the 2100 block of Murchison Road on Friday, June 26, 2019.

 

The victim has been identified as Marcus A. Guion (B/M, 30 years of age), of the 200 block of Windsor Drive.

 

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are actively investigating the homicide and request anyone with information contact them.

The Fayetteville / Cumberland County Crimestoppers program is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information submitted to Crimestoppers that leads to an arrest.

Homicide Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Friday, July 26, 2019, at approximately 4:43 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the 2100 block of Murchison Road reference a shots fired call.

Officers arrived on scene and were directed towards a wood line. Officers then located an unresponsive male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers began immediate life-saving measures and summoned medical personnel to the scene. Despite life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced deceased on scene.

The name of the victim is currently being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are actively investigating the homicide and request anyone with information contact them.
