Traffic Fatality / Road Closure

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Sunday, November 17, 2019, at approximately 7:40 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Owen Drive and Camden Road

The preliminary investigation a vehicle was traveling Southwest on Camden Road and another vehicle was traveling East on Owen Drive. Both vehicles collided in the intersection.

The driver of one of the vehicles was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical center where he succumbed to his injuries. The other driver was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non life threatening injuries.

The idenitity of both drivers is currently being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit are currently on scene conducting the investigation.

All lanes of East bound Owen Drive are closed to traffic at Camden Rd.
