(Fayetteville, NC) – On Tuesday, January 7th, 2020, at 6:12 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the 1900 block of Tryon Drive in reference to several subjects that were shot.
Officers arrived on scene and discovered an unresponsive male that had been shot. He was pronounced deceased on scene. A female subject was also located that had been shot, and was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. A third subject arrived at the hospital that had been transported in a personal vehicle; their injuries are unknown at this time.
The preliminary investigation revealed a disturbance started between groups of subjects. During the disturbance, gunfire was exchanged resulting in the victims being struck.
