Update to Robbery Investigation


(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Robbery Unit have identified and arrested the suspect involved in the Robbery of the Circle K that occurred on December 28, 2019, along the 1300 block of Hope Mills Road.


Due to the suspect’s age, (17), his identity will not be released.


Robbery Investigation


(Fayetteville, NC) – On Saturday, December 28, 2019, at approximately 3:34 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to Circle K, located along the 1300 block of Hope Mills Road, reference a reported robbery.


The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect entered the business, gathered two items and placed them on the counter as if he were going to purchase them. The suspect then stated he had left his wallet outside and then exited the store for approximately one (1) minute. The suspect returned inside of the store where he produced a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect then fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.


Detectives have obtained still images from the surveillance system and are requesting the public’s assistance identifying the suspect.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Robbery Unit are actively investigating the robbery and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
