motorcycle crash that occurred on November 16, 2021 along Mayodan Drive.
Elijah M. Freeman (B/M, 24 years of age), of the 4200 block of Tatum Drive, was operating a 2004 Suzuki Motorcycle on Mayodan Drive, after working on the motorcycle in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Witnesses advised he appeared to have some type of malfunction with his motorcycle, which resulted in him colliding with a 2017 Toyota and a 2017 Kia, which were both parked and unoccupied. Freeman was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
The victim’s next of kin has been notified.

Traffic Fatality
(Fayetteville, NC) – On November 16, 2021, at 5:15 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to a motorcycle crash in the parking lot area of an apartment complex located along Mayodan Drive and Tatum Drive.
The preliminary investigation has revealed the single rider of a motorcycle collided with parked vehicles. The adult male driver was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but succumbed to his injuries. His identity is pending next of kin notification.
Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit are on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
