All suspects, and persons charged with a crime, are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Persons of interest are believed to have information relating to a case, and have not been charged unless stated otherwise.

 

Homicide Investigation

 

           

(Fayetteville, NC) – On January 10, 2022, at 3:14 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to reports of shots being fired inside of a residence along the 7100 block of Ryan Street.

 

Responding officers entered the residence and located an adult female that had been shot and was pronounced deceased on scene. Her identification is pending next of kin notification. An adult male suspect was located on scene and taken into custody.

 

The preliminary investigation has determined there was a domestic disturbance at this location resulting in the suspect shooting the victim. Members of the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are on scene conducting an investigation.
