Suspect Sentenced in Federal Court for Drug and Firearm Charges
On January 3, 2020, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were patrolling the Bonnie Doone area when they responded to a domestic violence call for service. The female caller alleged Stephen Devon Smith had assaulted her, brandished a firearm, and that he was a drug dealer.

Suspect Sentenced in Federal Court for Drug and Firearm Charges
On May 10, 2022, Reshod Jamar Everett, 36, of Cumberland County, was found guilty by a federal jury on six felony drug and firearm offenses. The charges arose from Everett’s armed drug trafficking operation that he ran from his home, which he also operated as a daycare center.
